During this season of bustle, busy shoppers and helpful storekeepers are all trying to accomplish one thing: delivering the holiday goods.

According to Liz Mugford, operator of the General Store of Minnetonka in Minnesota, two words make holiday shopping easy and successful: Frasier Fir.

Frasier Fir has been the best-selling scent we’ve had,” she says. “We sell a ton of it. You can’t go wrong with Frasier Fir. Everyone just loves it.”

Both Thymes and the General Store of Minnetonka are based in Minnesota, the epicenter of Frasier Fir’s storybook Northwoods inspiration.

A perfect fragrance for any season, Frasier Fir embodies the aromatic snap of crisp Siberian fir needles, heartening cedarwood and relaxing sandalwood forms a refreshing bed of crisp, just-cut forest fragrance. Undertones of rich floral musk deepen and soften the resinous woody notes, for a scent that’s mountain fresh, yet cozy and comforting.

Frasier Fir candles of any type are “go-to” gift choices for holiday host or hostesses and for employee or coworker presents, Liz says. Frasier Fir bar soap, botanical ornaments and votives make fantastic stocking stuffers. And Frasier Fir reed diffusers, pomanders and wooden-wick candles, which emit a fireside crackle, are gifts lucky recipients can’t wait to use.

When it comes to festive décor, Frasier Fir also plays a feature role at the General Store of Minnetonka. “We change our floor display to give different ideas of how to use candles for centerpieces or mantel display,” Liz says.

Liz likes to combine Frasier Fir with a seasonal splash of red, white or silver. “What I think is fun is to pair a Frasier Fir candle with faux evergreens, redwood bowls and trays filled with pinecones or mercury glass ornaments,” she says, describing the popular “vintage” silver ornaments.

Of course, certain customers only have a nose for their favorite scents—beyond Frasier Fir. “Especially Lavender and Goldleaf,” Liz says, “We sell a lot of them during the Christmas season for people who want to replenish” their supplies—or a loved one’s.

Home fragrance makes a thoughtful gift for a couple reasons. First, it gets used, then used up. So it doesn’t take up space year after year or demand ongoing polishing or attention. Better yet, nobody has to remember to it pull out—like, say, that doll-shaped vase your aunt found at the local craft sale—before holiday gatherings.

Also, Thymes homes fragrance products give an impression of luxury at a reasonable price. “Thymes is a quality gift,” Liz says.
