Only one chromosome, a smattering of hormones and a strong dose of socialization separate the sexes. So it’s no surprise that certain fragrances hit all the right notes for both genders’ noses.
We’ve all heard the stereotype: women love roses and other florals; men prefer woods, leather and spices. But that cultural cliché tends to reflect a mass-marketing approach to fragrance.

Indeed, perceptions of “feminine” and “masculine” fragrances fail to account for that all important variable, individual taste, which is steeped in our personal experiences and everything else that makes us go “oooh” when the right scent hits our nostrils.
So, what makes a great unisex fragrance?
Notes that skew fresh, clean and green hit the universal sweet spot. Crispy clean, outdoorsy fresh, earthy woodsy tend to appeal to both genders, as long as they lack musky or floral overtones.
The quintessential male fragrance is called a fougère (“foo-JHAI”), which literally means “fernlike.” The structure of most men’s colognes has a crispy, fresh top; herbal, aromatic notes in the middle; wood and musk dry-down.
But as anyone who has ever had a father, brother, boyfriend, husband or son knows, those qualities can be extremely appealing to women as well.
The category of men’s fragrances is completely built around aromatic notes, spice woods and citrus. They’re clean and not overtly sensual, compared to some of Thymes more sensual, come-hither fragrances like Goldleaf Gardenia and Kimono Rose.
Although luxurious florals have earned their place in perfumery, Thymes offers many options for today's more neutral, contemporary palates. Thymes gained its following over 30 years ago by creating fresh, clean and sparkling fragrances, something we still do today.
A wide array of Thymes collections fills the unisex bill. Scroll down to view these great unisex Bath & Body collections such as Eucalyptus, Aqua Coralline, and Olive Leaf all have male and female devotees.
And then there's fresh, brisk Frasier Fir that offers a universal appeal.

There are several thyme fragrances that have a strong appeal to me. My home is my comfort zone,my refuge and the scents I surround myself with are important. I have several aromatherapy diffusers that I add Thyme diffuser oil to and the first thing I do in the morning is hit their "on" button. They run all day and then I refill them at night so they are all set to go. Eucalyptus and Fraizer Fir are my personal fravorites but there are other scents I would use if they were available ( I'm talking about YOU Tupelo Lemongrass and Olive Leaf) . I have to work within the constraints of my budget, but if I could there would be soap and bath salts and candles galore. Thyme fragrances are timeless and true and just hit all the right buttons. Glad I found you and your not going anywhere....you will be in my life forever??
Aqua Coralline is a my favorite. It's such a clean and unique fragrance. As a pretty big, burley guy, I don't think people are expecting this fragrance on me . I have people ask me about it all the time. With it's touch of citrus, it's a great way to start morning.
I absolutely love the Olive Leaf products!! It's my all time favorite!!
Our local hardware store carries most of your fragrances. I LOVE them, especially Eucalyptus, which as you indicate, appeals to me & my partner. They are expensive! And so the first thing I did when I got a raise & a bonus, was to almost run to Mouats Hardware on Salt Spring Island & buy the body soap & body lotion. I've been waiting for months for them to get it in. Now I'm HAPPY! Thanx for great fragrances!
