The Roots of Frasier Fir

Celebrating the ‘Smell of Christmas’

Is it possible not to love what many call the ‘smell of Christmas’? No matter your faith, the crisp, woody aroma of freshly cut trees and bright, clean air is simply irresistible. It’s a timeless fragrance that unites us all, across cultures, ages, sexes—even geography.

And it’s embodied by Frasier Fir, a Christmas candle that’s perfect for any holiday, or any day at all.

As one Frasier Fir fan puts it, “To me, it smells like walking through a pine forest with that wonderful tinge of pine filling my nose, ever so faint, but just enough to lift my spirits.”

This spirit-lifting story starts in 2004 with a single poured candle, tied with a ribbon and a little pinecone. Designed as a limited-edition holiday candle, the original Frasier Fir candle sold out within three weeks. Every last candle. We knew our perfumers had hit a chord.

The festive family has grown ever since. In 2005, Frasier Fir became its own collection, expanding with a home fragrance mist, bar soap, hand wash and hand lotion. Creative ways to incorporate and showcase the fragrance soon followed, from potpourri, dishwashing liquid and reed diffusers (including one in the shape of a pinecone!) to aromatic candles so stunning, they quickly earn a spot on the mantelpiece or dining room table.

Its popularity is illuminated by this Frasier Fir aficionado, who said its authentic Christmas tree fragrance helped ease her into a fake/faux Christmas tree: “It smells so like the real thing, I forget sometimes that it’s not,” she writes. “It’s now a Christmas staple!”

The success of Frasier Fir is only possible with the open-armed enthusiasm of you, our customers. One fan puts it this way: “LOVE IT! LOVE IT! LOVE IT! Frasier Fir is simply the best smell ever. Just perfect.”

A snowbird shared that Frasier Fir never fails to put her in a seasonal spirit: “It takes some doing to get into the Christmas spirit with the temp outdoors at 85 and the A/C running,” she writes. “My friend from back ‘home’ sent me the Frasier Fir candle a couple years ago and I would like NEVER to be without it.”

As Frasier Fir ambassadors, you spread the pleasure of this uncommonly refreshing fragrance, contributing to its growing—and glowing—success by sharing it with others.

“I have purchased a lot of it this year and not only use it in my home and car, but have given it as gifts,” one fan writes. “I highly recommend this product to anyone who loves the smell of Christmas.”

To that, we humbly say thanks—and merry Frasier Fir!

The first thing I did to start my day(after looking out on a white winter wonderland) was to light my last Frasier Fir Candle. I am late taking down my decorations for the season this year, and what better way to culminate the season than by putting on some seasonal music, lighting my "Christmas Tree smelling" candle, and having a delightful cup of cocoa!

Last year I walked into a shop and fell in love with this scent. It was early in November. I thought "they have plenty I'll buy it later. Well I went back to that shop just one week later and every candle was GONE! You better believe I bought my candles early this year. I'm addicted....

I walked into the door of a shop, asked what the smell was. They told me what is was and that they were selling it at their shop down the street. Parked my bags, walked down the street, and bought it immediately. I'm hoping it's only natural oils (smells so) and I've now burned it in every corner of my house. My only regret is not having bought a larger candle. Thank you!
